At the time, it was suggested I communicate with two Board members including VP Francke. Since only two members (President Barrie and Vice President Francke) of the CountrySide Board of Directors remain in office since my initial presentation to the Board on April 3, 2019, and initial communication with Manager Neelley in February 2019, I have included below my 2019 emails to Board members and Management regarding the Short Term Rentals issue. I asked the CountrySide Board to restrict Short Term Rentals in 2019, and I understand that the Board was asked multiple times by other residents to do the same both prior to and following my request. We thought you would find these emails interesting (and frustrating) and we are thankful the resident allowed us to share them with you.Īs 25 year homeowners in good standing in CountrySide, we are upset by the years of inaction and lack of concern by the CountrySide Board of Directors to prohibit Short Term Rentals in our Community. Unfortunately for her, we have been in contact with the 2019 resident who shared with us (and the Board for a second time) all of the information she compiled back then. Recently, the Oakridge Board representative tried to claim that we don’t know what we are talking about with the STR conversations of the past because we have only looked at the meeting minutes. This resident is in the Oatlands Community and was thankfully able to get hers shut down - without help from the CountrySide BOD, based on the STR breaking the zoning laws. I had the opportunity to speak with the Resident who brought it up again in 2019.
